  1. What can ES be used for?

    Enterprise search can be used across every department and every team! Some of the most common use cases include:

    Information Retrieval: Quickly find relevant documents, files, or information stored across all the tools and teams within the organization.

    Knowledge Management: Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration by giving access to tribal knowledge, expertise, and best practices.

    Employee Onboarding and Training: Help new employees navigate internal resources, policies, and training materials to accelerate their onboarding process.

    Customer Support and Service: Customer support teams can resolve customer inquiries and issues more effectively with quick access to relevant information and resources.

  2. How to search in Akooda?

    Start at the Home page and enter your question in the search bar at the top.

    You can search for any organizational data that Akooda is connected to by using the natural speech you’d use to ask a coworker the same question. Here's how:

    1. Login to Akooda

    2. Type your question in the search bar

    3. Hit Enter and see the results!

    4. Click on any link in the search results to access the document, data, or resource that your answer is based on and that you have permission to access to go directly to the relevant asset.

    Here are a few examples you can try:

    What is the status of project X?

    Who can help me with Y?

    When was my last meeting with Z?

  3. How can I filter my results?

    Although we don’t currently allow for filtering, it’s a high-priority feature and we will be adding it shortly. In the meantime, you can refine your search by using specific keywords or phrases to narrow down results.

    For example, try using the name of the app (like Jira or Slack) or a more specific timeframe (i.e. last week, this quarter) for more accurate results.

  4. How far back can I search?

    By default, Akooda searches across data from within the last 3 months.

    For an extended period, please contact your account admin.

  5. How long does it take for search results to be available after a new data source is added?

    It usually takes about 24 hours to scan and update a new data source.

    If more than 24 hours have passed and your search results are not including data from your data source, please contact our Support team.

  6. How do you keep my privacy?

    Akooda processes data from your existing business tools enforcing the existing permissions, so users only see what they are allowed to access. We never expose any information to anyone who does not already have existing viewing permissions. Your private interactions are never exposed to Akooda at any point, and we do not store any of the raw data. To learn more about it, visit our Privacy principles here.

  7. Are there any limitations on the number of searches or the amount of data I can search through?

    There are no limits to the number of searches you can perform 🙂.

    Akooda will scan through all your data sources for each search to give you the most accurate and relevant results.

  8. What types of data sources can Akooda access?

    Akooda allows you to search across your favorite organization’s apps, including Slack, Jira, Salesforce, G-suite, Monday, Zoom and many more. All apps are available with a seamless integration right through the Settings page.

  9. What kind of support is available if I encounter issues with Enterprise Search?

    Akooda offers 24/7 support via a shared Slack channel and chatbot within the app.
