The Akooda system handles sensitive organizational data where privacy and security are paramount. The integration services, therefore, support a rich set of safety protocols in place to ensure access throughout the pipeline is protected, limited, and minimal.

Below are the key principles that guide each of our app integrations.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at [email protected].

Least-privilege Models

The least privilege is the concept and practice of restricting access rights for users, accounts, and computing processes to only those resources absolutely required to perform routine, legitimate activities. All of our integrations transparently request the minimal privileges required to ensure service quality and continuity, while abiding by this practice of information security.

One-click Disconnect

Our integrations are built in a way that at any point if your organization wishes to disconnect the app from Akooda, they require a single click. This is usually done by removing the integration on the app side or removing the dedicated Akooda user from your account.

Invite-only Access

As a policy, Akooda has access only to fully-public interactions or ones to which it is manually invited, such that it is visible to all participants. Thereby, participants' communication is at their discretion and they can undo the invite at any point. Most importantly, descriptive content of private interactions will never be shown to non-participants on the Akooda platform.
